I bought my Extreme in October of 2017, after fully charging the unit I paired it up with my phone and took off for a ride on the UTV, about 30 min into the ride we began to have this issue you're explaining. We literally spent another 30 min trying to get the unit paired back up with my Samsung Galaxy 8 so we could enjoy some music, after the frustration started setting in we decided to pair it up with my friends IPhone 5 and off we went until about 10 min in the IPhone disconnected! We pulled over started looking at phone settings thinking it might be in the settings, decided that we would clear all Bluetooth paired history in the phone seems it had been paired with a few devices over the years! It worked... we spent the remainder of the day enjoying music. Now what I ended up doing to get my fancy new Galaxy8 to work was a little more time consuming. Once I was home I continued to have problems with the pairing of these 2 devices... seems that the 2 pieces of technology didn't like each other I was about to give up and setup the return with Ebay seems it was a brand new JBL Extreme other than the one day I got to enjoy someone else's playlist. I researched for a couple of hours reading lists of peoples complaints about how unsatisfied they all were with Harmon/JBL until I came across someone's post saying to hard reset the Extreme by holding down the pairing button & volume+ button at the same time. Once I did this the unit wouldn't turn back on so I unplugged the unit from its 110v connection and reconnected the 110v cord into the wall, had to push the power button many times until the unit decided to turn on. I haven't had any problems with it unpairing from my Galaxy8 since going thru all this and I have also unplugged it and ran it on battery power to see if the problem would come back! Hopefully my story will help you and others enjoy their expensive purchase of their fancy new JBL speaker!

Windows 10 FALL Extreme Lite 2017
While most chronotypes fall within a reasonable range, the total possible range of bedtimes stretches as long as ten hours between extreme morning types and extreme evening types. Individuals whose chronotypes make it difficult to adhere to the demands of a normal schedule may be diagnosed with advanced or delayed sleep-wake phase disorder.
Over the past several years, meteorologists in South Texas (and other areas) have stated "it's not a matter of if but when" a major hurricane would strike the Middle Texas Coast. The last hurricane to do so was Celia back on August 3rd, 1970. Well, the "when" happened on August 25th 2017, when Harvey made landfall along the Middle Texas Coast. Harvey exploded rapidly from a tropical depression to a major hurricane in around 40 hours. After impacting the Yucatan Peninsula earlier in the month as a tropical storm, Harvey moved into the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico late on Tuesday August 22nd.
On Thursday August 24th, Harvey's impact on the Middle and Upper Texas Coast seemed almost certain and potentially devastating. Not only was Harvey forecast to become a hurricane by Thursday evening, but it was expected to strengthen and make landfall as a major hurricane (Category 3 or higher) on Friday (see forecast). Worse yet, once the storm moved inland, it was forecast to eventually stall and meander over South or Southeast Texas for days. Thus, Major hurricane Harvey was not only forecast to produce devastating winds, but extremely heavy and excessive rainfall, producing devastating and historic flooding over areas especially east of the center of circulation (still most likely just north of Copano Bay).
Harvey underwent rapid intensification and quickly became a Category 3 hurricane on Friday at 2 PM (120 mph sustained winds) and then a Category 4 hurricane (130 mph sustained winds) early Friday evening. As Harvey slowly approached the coast, the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi issued a rare Extreme Wind Warning. Extreme wind warnings are issued for landfalling major hurricanes with winds of 115 mph or higher. Harvey was forecast to have winds in the eyewall between 115 and 130 mph! Three extreme wind warnings were ultimately issued for Harvey. The eye of Major Hurricane Harvey first made landfall on San Jose Island and then near the Rockport and Fulton, Texas area at around 10 PM CDT.
